Permits, Inspections & Testing

Compliant, certified and inspection-ready.

Testing

Category 1, Category 5 & Periodic Tests

The tests that keep a lift in service. We run them and prepare your equipment for the inspector.

Category 1 tests

Routine annual testing of your lift and its safety and operating devices.

Category 5 tests

Full-load testing on the longer code cycle, to confirm your equipment performs safely under its rated load.

Periodic tests

A hands-on check every 6 months. We test gates and interlocks, safety and operating devices, controls, and the hydraulic or chain drive, then keep a written checklist on file for your inspector. Required intervals vary by state and city.

Inspections & Permits

We Handle the Paperwork Too

Testing is half the job. The other half is permits, certificates and records, and we take care of that as well.

Periodic & acceptance inspections

We coordinate and prepare your equipment for required inspections, new installs and existing lifts.

Permits & certificates

We help with permits and keep your certificates current.

Records & reporting

Clear test reports and records for your files and your inspector.

Repairs if a test fails

If a test turns up a problem, our service team can make the repair, so you are not hunting for another contractor.

Lifts we did not install

We test and inspect lifts from any and all VRC brands, not just our own.

Stay Ahead of It

Pair It With a Maintenance Plan

Inspections go smoother on a well-kept lift. Put your lift on a maintenance plan and one team handles both the scheduled visits and the testing.

Contract customers also save 10% on parts and labor for any repairs while under agreement.
